AWC is implementing a science-based model for conservation that delivers high-impact results. We are successfully halting the decline of threatened wildlife and restoring species across our network of sanctuaries and partnership areas. Our Ecohealth reports outline the high ecological return on investment we are achieving across Australia.
Your support is delivering effective conservation land management, restoring threatened and locally extinct species and enabling monitoring of the ecosystems in our care.

Today AWC’s reserves up and down the continent are looked after by teams of Australians who on occasion have to endure extremely harsh conditions. Sometimes they have to deal with very real dangers from fire, from predators and from many other crises. But they have shown us all, repeatedly and dramatically, that if we take care of nature, nature will take care of us. Long may AWC flourish!

AWC’s aims and actions matter to me – removing and excluding feral animals and plants and then fencing those areas, reintroducing the original fauna (rewilding), restoring habitat and using strategic mosaic burning to reduce intense wildfires. What AWC is doing is so different from any organisation I’ve come across in Australia. They get the science right and consistently follow up.

I have been working with AWC, the Central Land Council and Desert Wildlife Services looking after Country looong time now. Newhaven is a special place for me; I spend a lot of time there working for AWC, sharing knowledge and tracking for pussy cats and Ninu/Bilby, Warrana/Great Desert Skink. They are all playing around at Newhaven, all night, babies, grandfathers, mothers, fathers, grandmothers – the whole lot.
